I'm glad you can find a bit of humor in the gallows. The therapists had a sign over Danny's bed that said "please do not pull Danny by the arms." This was after his left shoulder had been separated and was hanging unsupported. Sometimes, a no-duh sign is important cause parents might let their kids play with that plastic bag. Praying for you all, Allison
I have never commented before, but feel I need to come to the “defense” of a worn-out mother whose daughter has just undergone yet another major surgery and who was simply trying to find some ironic humor in a less-than-dignified (albeit purposeful) piece of tape stuck on her beautiful daughter’s face. Mild chastisement to “give the nursing staff a break” followed by an explanation of the tape’s purpose, which I’m sure Kim is well aware of, are probably not the most uplifting words of comfort at this moment. Perhaps I misread the comment, and if so I apologize, but if it had been directed at me under the same circumstances, my feelings would have been hurt.
